As you can see we have some new additions to The Dayton Observer. As you have probably noticed we've added some new festive colors, a search this blog box (brought to you by the wonderful folks at Google), and at the bottom of the page a news ticker. The news ticker uses topics from Google news and runs of suggested searches from the admins. So if you want any topics to come up in the news ticker please suggest them in the comments.
Also, I would like to introduce myself. My name is...... well you can call me Mr. Montag and I have volunteered to help D.O. run the blog and write new posts from time to time. If anyone has any questions or concerns you can reach me at dayton451@gmail.com.
Welcome Mr. Montag. I love the colors it starting to look a little bit more like Thanksgiving. I like the blog search to because if someone references something from before it's easier to look up. What a good feature. I like the ticker. Does it have weather too?

ReplyDeleteThought this would be a interesting article for today, since its Thanksgiving. Might be good advice for everyday.
I love the colors--but they need to be RED and GREEN by 8 AM tomorrow!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteMr. Montag--Fahrenheit 451? Coincidence????
kendra
Glad we are Red and Green this morning. The official Holiday Season has kicked off. Did any of you do the Black Friday Sales. I did but from the comfort of setting in front of the computer. Not as exciting but warmer. I see it says Happy Holidays at the top of the Dayton Observer and I agree but since I'm not always politically correct, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all the rest of the Holidays that fall in the next two months I wish everyone the best.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty quiet with most offices being closed today.
I did TONS of Black Friday shopping--a good time was had by all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Christmas colors too :-)
kendra
I was wondering is there a tour of homes this year and/or something set up for the businesses for the Holiday's? I think I heard something about the 5th. I must have missed the advertisements. Thanks for the information if anyone knows.
ReplyDeleteI know there is a business thingee--but I'm not at the office so I don't know the date. I'll post it Tuesday when I'm work.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know--no tour of homes--which is kinda sad as i LOVED that.
I was thinking--how about--next year--a tree lighting and then Santa comes on a fire truck? Same day as the downtown thing maybe??
I think that would be a POSITIVE Thing the council could sponsor. Ideas??
What's with the nicey nice comments? I was expecting the normal nasty posts. Is everyone getting in the Christmas spirit, or what?
ReplyDeleteI liked the tour of homes also. It was fun to see how everyone decorates and to see the houses in town. I think the fire truck and Santa would be neat. I also think the big evergreen tree outside of town to the north west could be really decorated neat and would make a great tree to light up. I think the lions club used to decorate it I don't know if they still do or not but it could really be "spruced" up and be our light up the night tree.
ReplyDeleteBy the way to 11:08pm there can be nice comments, everything does not need to be nasty. We can still discuss the issues and maybe along the way solve some problems and maybe come up with some good ways to market Dayton. It doesn't hurt to have some Christmas spirit but I'd like to think that somewhere somehow that spirit is in all of us all the time just not at Christmas.
I personally still want to deal with the issues but also I want to see Dayton grow or at least maintain during these difficult financial times. It will take lots of work but I know that if EVERYONE, whether you like each other or not. Just remember everyone has a different approach to life. We may not like that approach but we need to give it a chance because if we were all alike the world would come to a stand still. So let's as a community work with the whole council and others in our community and see if make Dayton better. It's a challenge, Let's try to get along and understand how maybe the other person is feeling and we may find we like them and ourselves better when we do this. But remember there will always be differences of our thoughts so there still can be disagreements, they just should never build to the point where we are trying to destroy each other. Off the soap box again, sorry I have someone close to me that says I lecture to much so I'll stop now. Thanks for listening.
I was just watching cable channel 2 and noticed what all the surrounding fire dept. are doing for there kids and community if you get a chance take a look this is wonderful
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the fire truck bringing Santa to town. I'm pretty sure someone will find a way to make that an unnecessary use of city equipment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea that the neighboring communities have. I'm sure Santa is welcome on any fire truck in the USA. Remember the positive attitude.
ReplyDeleteI see Duncombe is also having a breakfast for the adults while having the kids. That's great because they can earn a little money that way and I know it's hard for all the towns and their emergency services.
This wouldn't just have to be the fire department it could be a combined effort. I think it sounds great. It would be nice because the firemen can be such good role models for the kids.
To 5:34 this is called marketing and if you haven't noticed that is one thing that has been promoted from the beginning of this blog and of the golf course issue. MARKETING can make or break a business, volunteer situation or any community service organizations. It has to be an ongoing consorted effort where things are continued and are always evaluated for new marketing ideas and being able to open up and accept new ideas and don't shut off others just because it was tried 40 years ago and didn't work. You sometimes get what you pay for with your public relations. Do we always have to turn everything around to keep the disagreements going. Geez give it a break!
Next year I really think we'll have enough small businesses in town to have a small "Dayton Christmas Open House". A Saturday morning apple cider and cookies type thing. Similar to what Stratford does. Local restaurants could have specials or buffets that day. Santa could come in NECESSARILY on the fire truck.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the year will be good and our people will shop local so we will still have enough current businesses or even more to do it.
addition to my 6:39 post...I also think Santa could NECESSARILY go out to the GOLF COURSE on the FIRE TRUCK to meet kids and give out hot cocoa. And yes; I think if we can find a volunteer santa, the tax payers can pay for the cocoa and I don't have problem with my tax dollars supporting cocoa for kids on Christmas
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree that I don't have a problem with my tax dollars supporting the children either. They are our greatest asset. It would also be cool if Santa could come in on a sleigh. There was a parade sleigh here in town at one time that had wheels on it so it did not need snow. I wonder what happened to that.
ReplyDeleteThe fire truck is cool. (maybe since it's a fire truck) we should say it's a hot idea.
I certainly would not have a problem with Santa arriving on the firetruck. The fire department provides an important volunteer service to the community. I am willing to donate some hot chocolate and cups to help minimize any cost to the city. If someone could let me know when and where these items need to be, I'll get them there.
ReplyDeleteCindy Corson
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to donate. I could also donate some hot chocolate, or treats. I bet lots of people would. It would be fun and we would be doing something to help our community and our children. I think it's wonderful for the children that are growing up that are staying in Dayton. I think we need to encourage that and hopefully there will be job opportunities (I pray) down the line for everyone.
I was talking with someone today that said back when they were first thinking about having
ReplyDeletethe park with the lights that this person suggested that they start north of town by the big blue spruce tree and decorate all the way through town. I know that would be alot of work but how neat. Also back when the decorating of the park started most of the businesses did their own displays. I know that this helped out lots. Maybe they still are but I know the last few times that I helped that there were few business's doing their own. I know there is lots more to decorating the park but every little bit helps.
Along with our festive colors (thanks D.o. and Mr. Montag) here on the blog it is starting to really look beautiful around town. I think there are more lights than usual and what beautiful displays. Thanks to all who do this I know how much work it is but it brings so much joy to others.
Back to the Christmas things for the kids I bet that you could get a Santa. Isn't the Santa that sits in the park volunteer? I know that you probably talk to the school for help and you could always contact some college organizations I know that they do lots of philanthropy. I know there are people looking to help and we just need to tap into that resource if anyone is interested.
I think the light display should run through town on 175 and not in the park. It makes sense. What does Santa should come in on fire truck NECESSARILY mean.
ReplyDeleteWhen I said someone would find a way to make Santa coming in on the fire truck an unnecessary expense, I was using sarcasm to gently poke fun at those who are so negative and critical all the time. Of course it's a fabulous idea. Also, Dayton has had open houses at the downtown businesses for many years. Lots of people come to enjoy the goodies.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking it is too late for THIS year--but keep these ideas for next year--we'll start planning mid-October maybe? We could bring it up at community club as well--tie it into what they do.
ReplyDeleteI'll donate anything I don't have to bake!
kendra
Kendra, I agree it's probably to late for this year but it sounds good for next year. I think the community club is a good idea. I'm not a member now but I think it all sounds very good for Dayton.
ReplyDeleteTo 7:33 am I understand people have been very critical, I know it started with all of the negativity of last year. I have just came to the conclusion that it's like a mother bear with her cub as the old expression goes. We sometimes have tunnel vision and don't know when to stop when it is an emotional issue that is strong to our heart. We start believing that everyone and everything is against us. It gets built up and rumors fly and things get blown clear our of porportion.
It is good to see this discussion. I know we won't always agree and will probably still have some negativity but it will help that we are working together and coming up with ideas to help the community as a whole. I think that was the common goal of the last year but that it became way to emotional early on.
I checked out the the cable channel and see Lehigh fire department and Duncombe fire department are doing several neat things for there community. Didn't see Dayton fire department doing anything do they participate in community functions at all anymore?
ReplyDeleteDayton Tiger
ReplyDeleteBusinesses and orginations use to do their own displays years ago. Most of them quit when displays were refused/removed because some in charge got very particular on what was allowed.
To 9:47
The fire dept. does fire prevention week at the Dayton school every October.
I don't think they do comm. functions much anymore after the playground equipment fiasco.
To 9:08pm. I didn't know that there were problems with the business and organization displays. I guess I didn't run into that problem. That's really to bad. I always thought the displays were tasteful.
ReplyDeleteI'm not 9:47 pm but I know the fire department does prevention week and I know that kids really have learned so much from them and they also love the fire trucks, like I said the firemen can be such a role model.
I don't know anything about the playground equipment fiasco. Maybe I don't want to know.
There have been to many fiasco's lately.
I think that you need to keep an VERY open mind when dealing with the public. There is always usually a way to deal with people and to all work together and stop the fighting. Control of one or several usually comes into view and what I feel needs to be done is to include others in decision making if possible and explaining situations reasonably and knowing that it can not always be one person's way. It makes for better working and friendship relationships. Sometimes you get 5 percent and give 95 percent some times it's just the opposite.
The problem with the light displays was quite a while ago, in the late 90s.
ReplyDeleteThe playground situation is from when the newer playground equip. to the south of the sidewalk at the school was put in. This was after Paul Hagge was killed. Brian Hagge was either on or had just gotton off the dept. and Brett Hagge was on the dept.
The firemen were looking to do some kind of a memorial for Paul. It was decided that the dept. would take $2500 in fundraiser money and buy some new playground equipment. That amount of money wouldn't buy much so the dept. went to the school board, who decided to partner with the Firemen on the project and donated $7000. After some joint discussions it was decided to get other orginations involved.
The project was turned over to the PTO to spearhead. They did an excellent job of getting people involved. Enough money was donated that the playground equip. was purchased for around $15000. When the equip. arrived and it was time for it to be installed, Earl Hanson brought his skidloader and other equip. in for the install. Most of the volunteer installers were firemen.
When it was completed there were many articles with pictures put in the paper with a list of people and orginizations that were involved. The problem was the Fire dept. who started the project, donated the first money to it, and did the majority of the installation, was never mentioned and got no credit at all for it.
I don't think credit was what the fireman were looking for. But, I think they would have liked to have had some kind of recognition.
I didn't realize that happened. I'm really sorry. I do remember the playground equipment being put in and I remember driving by and seeing the guys doing it.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me feel really sad when things like this happen, what a mistake was made by not keeping track of was involved and that it was made public of who all helped. This was a very difficult and emotional time in Dayton without adding to it. I know it was a miscommunication and I am sure whomever was responsible feels awful but that sometimes just doesn't make it all better.
I do know the fireman and the emergency services do so much for Dayton and we are so happy and lucky to have them here for us.
Thank you so much for being there for us. You will be rewarded someday for your volunteer service to the community. Just look at who you have all helped and what you may have prevented with your fire education. We never know what footprint we are leaving.
WOW.......People do get their feelings hurt. Time to heal Dayton.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.iams.com/iams/en_US/jsp/angel2/VoteShelter.jsp
ReplyDeleteProbably not the place to do this but this is a link for Iams.com and you can vote everyday for the shelter of your choice and they will get free dog and cat food for a year. You can go on and vote everyday. What a nice thing this would be for North Central Iowa Humane Society. I thought we could pass this on and help our furry friends this year. I know that there have been record amounts of pets dropped off at shelters because of the recession and people just not able to keep them. I'm going to vote everyday. Pass this on and maybe we can help the Fort Dodge Shelter.
I went on and voted and are going to have my kids do it too.
ReplyDeleteI went to the Dog food site and voted for the North Central Iowa Humane Society. I believe free pet food is for a month. I do think this would be nice. I see they keep track of how many people have voted. I hope some people vote. I did copy and paste this and send it on with some emails. I think it is a nice cause.
ReplyDeleteSomebody said we are getting more business here. I know of one, what are the other ones. It was said by November 29th, 6:30 PM.
ReplyDeleteI see do to the water and sewer rate increases the car wash had to raise there prices $.50 per cycle. This will likely promote people to wash there vehicles elsewhere. Running one of the better businessmen in town out. We have two cars we wash weekly and that adds up.
ReplyDeleteWhere are people going to be PROMOTED to wash their car elsewhere? It costs quite a bit more to wash a car in Ft. Dodge. And why are they going to spend the money to drive somewhere else, to save $.50? The 5:18 post makes no sense!
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you expect to get a new water treatment plant, well, and water mains and not have an increase? If so you want all the improvements, but don't want to pay for it?
Here's the bigger question; as for the comment "running one of the better businessmen out of town" - did that businessman ask or provoke for his personally owned business to be topic on this blog? I Seriously doubt it! Why would someone want to open a business in this town or continue to operate a business in this town when you don't know if or when you will become part of some anonymous, unaccountable scruitiny on a this blog?
ReplyDeleteThe tax rates, utility rates and the sewer rates aren't running businesses and people out of town. The Dayton Observer, Mr. Montag and the 5 people who feel "entitled" to keep this crap up are.
To 7:36
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!!!
By the election results there are 25 people that don't agree with how things are going in Dayton. And they think that by ridiculing Dayton, and some of the people involved, it's going to help. When in reality people looking in from the outside think this town sucks and wouldn't move here if it was the last place on earth.
This is interesting tonight. There has been no negativity by the "5" people, one of whom I suspect is me. If not, then I apologize for that assumption. Anyway, the only thing I have seen was the comment about the higher car wash prices. All the negativity has been by 7:36 making the comment: The Dayton Observer, Mr. Montag and the 5 people who feel "entitled" to keep this crap up. Show me where the "5" people are trying to keep this crap up since this new posting started. Sorry to burst your bubble but since the this last blog titled "Happy Thanksgiving" was started there has not been 1 negative post unless you count the comment about the car wash. By the way this is not a negative comment, only an observation.
ReplyDeletesamaddamslite: You are completely right. There has been no negative comments on here. The raise in a local businesses service was an observation.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that we can make the assumption that only 25 people disagree with what is happening in Dayton. You cannot go completely by the election. The golf course is a very passionate issue and does get people out to vote. Again, I am for the golf course let's just keep marketing and make money or break even (at this point I am not critizing just making a statement as I have not seen the end financials personally so don't attack). I think from reading some of the earlier posts that there have been disagreements and issues in Dayton that have raised emotions and it has been worked out or lived through. I am very happy for those that were elected and congratulate them. There are always winners and loosers in anything. The most important thing is to be gracious in your loss and your win.
Until one of the people that wants the blog shut down commented everything has been positive and trying to look at ways to help Dayton, so let's keep trying to help Dayton. I know it's Christmas and I have made a commitment to be nice and look at the best for most I am going to say: To "hell" with your negativity. We will make a difference with this blog and with wanting to help Dayton somehow, even in the smallest way.
Remember earlier it was posted that we can still discuss the issues and we may not disagree but can still get along to 7:36 no that person did not ask to be the topic on this blog but I don't think that most people that have articles written about them in the D.R. or the Fort Dodge newspaper are always asked if it is o.k. to write about them. Example: Lawyer discussion. Quotes in Reveiw from local gentleman regarding election and if someone resigns from council, that's just the review, I could point out many stories in newspapers and the media across the nation where people don't want their names put out.
I am not bringing this up for the negativity just to point out what happens.
My family washes their vehicles here and will continue. I think the observation was it's to bad about raising prices. I think it was a very nice observation about "being one of the better businessmen" I would say that is a huge compliment.
Yes we have to pay for improvements but I don't know about anyone else but my bottom line is shrinking and shrinking and can't take very many more increases and I worry about those that I know it's worse than it is for me.
To: 10:03 PM. This Blog is not the keeper of people moving to Dayton if it is then it's one of the most powerful things around.
ReplyDeleteI believe people are still moving to Dayton and they need to make their own decisions by many different factors. Has anyone else checked out blogs in different towns. This is really mild. I know that not everyone agrees with everything that is said but let's get used to it, it is life and we cannot cannot "control" everything even though some of us would like to.
The town has to sale it's self. The blog isn't the keeper of the town. We as the citizens are and we cannot "control" the actions of everyone and how it will effect Dayton. So I think the "5" of us were doing a pretty good job of just looking at options. No one said we will do this for sure just throwing out suggestions. You know this could
help Dayton in the long run if we look at it correctly.
So to D.O. and Mr. Montag: Keep on blogging.
I believe the water going off and on so many times caused problems for some equipment in Dayton. It caused problems for many of my faucets and my plumbing. It is now fixed and over with but not without a cost. Maybe could not have been helped with still did have to repair things and replace.
ReplyDeleteThere is a sign in the car wash saying that the prices have increased because of water and sewer increases.
ReplyDeleteAnyone have any ideas about how we could as a community ring in the New Year. There could be something we could do that would be new and different and something the other communities are not already doing.
ReplyDeleteI'm fresh out of ideas today must be the possible snow coming. I hope it misses us.
DaytonTiger......That is a great idea! How about an alcohol free family friendly party. There could be board games, movies, music..and oh yeah..food, to ring in the new year. Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteCindy Corson
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea. I like the alcohol friendly. I think that sounds like lots of fun. I'm sure we could raise some money for little prizes, kind of like prom. I know we have lots of board games and I'm other do too. We also have loads of music. The food would be fun to, because it's fun to cook other than Christmas food when it's over. I think that sounds great. I bet we could get some of the kids that wouldn't have anywhere else to go and those that shouldn't be where they are going to come.
Also I know they had open houses uptown yesterday at the businesses and I am not sure about today but I know the care center is having a bake sale from 9am until 12noon.
I meant, we have lots of board games and I'm sure others do too. I'm sure we could find movies that would fit for everyone.
ReplyDeleteHere comes the snow. Not much this morning but it sounds like lookout for tonight and tomorrow. Stay safe and warm everyone.
ReplyDeleteHow about I bring the Wii? We have TONS of games and they are super fun and family friendly?
ReplyDeletekendra
I think the Wii sounds great. We just need to find a place to have the party and decide if we can get enough help and support to do it this year. Is the Wii really fun? I have wanted one but others in my household swear by another game system.
ReplyDeleteThe community center would hold quite a few people and have the kitchen and bathroom facilities needed. Wonder if we culd have the gym open too. If it is available, would be a great place. I would be glad to help. I have alot of plastic champagne glasses left from an anniversary party I hosted that could be used for a New Year's toast with a wonderful MOCK champagne. We have a mirrored ball that could be used for a dance area. We have karoake CD's and machine (If I can talk hubby into getting it out and set up-he loves it when I volunteer him!) Board games could be set up in different stations, color books/puzzles/crafts set up for small children. The WII is fun. Family movies available (need tv and dvd player-again we may be able to use one of ours). I could make a roaster or two of chili......everyone could bring snacks. Maybe the school would allow us to use the popcorn machine. We'll have to find out if the Community Center is available that night and I can make flyers if people want to do this. What do ya'll think?
ReplyDeleteCindy Corson
Please don't consider this as a negative comment but I think parents or grandparents should be required to attend with their children. The potential could be there for mom/dad to drop their children off. I don't want to be personally responsible for other children but I do want to provide them an opportunity to have fun. Am I being a fuddy-duddy?
ReplyDeleteCindy Corson
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds wonderful. I agreeabout having a parent or grandparent with their children. I also agree we should not be responsible and it would be an all most impossible task to keep track of the kids.
I'll gladly make anything. It sounds so exciting.
What a storm, it is really going to take lots of work to clean all of this snow up. I hope everyone is safe and they take care in the next few days with all the work and cold miserable weather. Drive carefully if you must get out. Does anyone know the official snowfall for Dayton? Does someone keep track of that? I don't think it's done snowing yet, looks like a couple more hours from the radar. I didn't even care if we had a white Christmas. It looks like we are going to.
ReplyDeleteDayton has a lot of wonderful people, even some that have been judged as less than. If you are really snowed in and people show up to clean you out. I am so grateful for Santa's helpers. I don't know how to express my gratitude, you know who you are. We should keep our Christmas spirit, and I am behind your efforts for a New Year's party.
ReplyDeleteDayton: Is a community that does have many wonderful people. I would even say I bet the majority of citizens meet this definition. I would like to say a great big thank you to three individuals that went out of their way to help myself and several others that are having problems move the huge amount of snow that fell. I remember when I didn't think a thing about the snow falling and I would just go clean the car off and go. Well this year what a different story. I still think the snow was beautiful but when I looked outside I was first of all shocked by the amount of snow and then alarm and dismay not knowing at all how I was going to get the vehicle cleaned off and even open my front door easily. (So a word to the wise really appreciate your health and take care of yourself). I will be honnest I was overwhelmed. Sure I have someone that does come and clean the snow but what if I really had to get out.
ReplyDeleteThree of our wonderful citizens showed up and cleaned my snow, moved my vehicle and even cleaned the snow off of it. You may not agree with everyone elses beliefs and opnions but you do need to agree with me that how wonderful for people to do this. Let's all remember this and work together because believe it or not I think we all want the same thing. So next year at this time when I am better, I will be out there looking for someone to help. Thanks to you three, I know you did several others with health problems yesterday. THANK YOU. Let's forgive and forget Dayton, let's move forward, all of us and pay forward. We'll all feel better and the town will do much better. This has to be each and everyone of us. I would also like to thank everyone else who has helped me, I thought I was always a compassionate person but I have learned you can never care enough and you can never be compassionate enough.
I hope the meeting is going to be nice tonight. I hope someone will let me know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteThe meeting tonight went ok. The council seems to have come together and while they may not totally agree with each other there is not the loud, disrespectful disagreements they have had in the past. Some of the topics discussed were:
ReplyDelete1. Library USDA Grant Application was approved
2. Well Project and Water Main Project was discussed. Eldon Rossow and Brian from MER Engineering were there to discuss plans. Special meeting on December 16th at 7:00 PM to go over those plans and answer questions and make changes in an effort to get the plans ready for bid letting in February 2010.
3. Information about the inspection of the First American Bank Building will be available at next meeting.
4. Public hearing about assessing delinquent utility charges and property clean up charges
5. Second reading of Ordinance 236 (water rate increase) and Ordinance 237 (sewer rate increase) were passed with the 3rd and final reading to be at special meeting 12/16.
6. Civil Rights Commission Hearing was postponed due to weather and has been rescheduled.
7. Discussion about employee certification increases with the possibility of instituting a tier system.
8. Approved lift station pump maintenance agreement.
9. Two building permits were approved and discussion about the possibility of revising current city ordinance in regard to possible municipal infraction if building permit not obtained prior to start of project.
10. 2010-2011 budget discussion
11. Employee health insurance plan options were available for members to review
12. Discussed vehicle impoundment fees
13. Stop Sign Ordinance-a couple stop signs not in compliance with code
14. Approved adding minimum text messaging plan to police chief cell phone. This will aid in investigations.
15. Old city cell phones will be donated to VFW donation program.
16. Abstained from Iowa Public Agency Investment Trust Meeting vote
17. Decided not to hire outside agency to provide employment handbook.
18. Pet Clinic-I believe will be held in January. Watch Dayton review for dates/times.
I have reserved the Community Center for the alcohol free-family friendly New Year's Eve party. I have started working on the flyers and hope to have them out by this weekend or early next week so would love to have some brainstorming here about what should be on the flyers. Thank you, Kevin B, for your donation to get this party started.
Cindy Corson
Oh, I forgot one thing in all of my ramblings. It's great to see all the positive things being said here. I think great things can happen.
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the report. I am so happy and relieved that the council seems to have come together. I wouldn't expect that they would always agree.
I am so excited about the new years eve party. I think this is wonderful. I will put my thinking cap on about the flyers. This
is really great. This is how our community should be. I know there will always be disagreements and differences of opnions but that's o.k. as long as we come together and work for the better tomorrow. :)
