If you would like to read the Dayton Rag online and do not want to waste your money here it is.

    Interesting negative articles.....

Keep going Dayton it makes Lehigh look better all the time. I am glad I live here.

Do you all realize how much fun is being made of all of this. It's about time. Keep screwing up you all will be caught sooner or later.

Daytons just a Peyton Place and your all Dayton hypocrites.

    More revlations later

  2. I believe they call that bird cage paper. Can't Glenn find any news locally He has to print someone else paper? If he would print the facts we wouldn't need this blogg It is kind of hard to keep things straight when you only get half of the story. I think the facts need to come out more.

  3. Well back to the issues again. I have tried to find solutions to our dilemma but since others have not responded to this. I think I will post some educational information.

If you lived in Gowrie in a $50,000.00 house, your yearly taxes would be: $848.00

Your taxes in Dayton on a $50,000 house, your yearly taxes would be $1038.00

These are from 2007 Tax figures for Webster County. This information is available from the Webster County Court House. As soon as possible I will obtain the most current figures on repost the difference in the taxes.

From what I was told the increase for this year is 1.35 per thousand dollars of assessed value.

I will reiterate again that I am not against the golf course only higher taxes. I do hope it succeeds. Let’s all try to remain positive and not negative.

  4. I think the the Dayton Observer was started to give Dayton another option on getting some truthful items out. The Review is just as slanted as the DM Register, only every week. Yes, I have heard jokes about Dayton everywhere I have been lately. At least they have their golf course, so they can go enjoy each others company. Thirtyfive to forty members are really taking advantage of our town. What a shame.

  6. I am sure glad I found this blog. All of you should move to Lehigh, my taxes on a house worth more than 50,0000 are lower than Gowrie and way lower than Dayton.

  7. Thirtyfive to forty, I believe that is how the books are kept, somewhere around that number. Does that include the little old ladys that play cards or just the golfers

  8. That is just the members that live in Dayton that are reaping the benefits of all our tax dollars going to pay for a sinking tax hole.

  18. Does anyone know how many out of town members benifit from Daytons golf course ? Does anyone know how many meals are served a day at the Dayton country club resturant ? I heard hat they were going to shut the resturant down by june if it wasn't making money is that true ?Did anyone ever come up with a plan to run this golf course ?Why doesn't the small group that use the course just buy it, then they can have the huge profit when it gets on its feet.? Does anyone out there have any facts or is this just a place to air your dirty laundry and call people names.
