Council Meeting Tonight

Just wanted to remind everyone that there is a council meeting tonight.

  1. Is there much on the agenda tonight?

  2. There is a very large agenda, hopefully we can get some things accomplished.

  3. Hopefully things will get accomplished and hopefully everyone will remain civil.

  4. I have a feeling that things probably won't stay civil this evening. Is Oak Park golf on teh agenda?

  5. I think that both sides should remain civil.
I have been at some of meetings and see what you are saying, BUT I was at one meeting and things remained calm, but the next meeting it got radical. Please whether pro spending tax dollars or those wanting fiscal restraint please remain calm, no cursing, attacking people personally. This has seemed to become a pattern with some.

  6. So what happened at the meeting tonight?

  7. I was at the meeting and it was very disturbing. Councilman BEnsen really took it hard--he has apparently been obstructing justice and spreading lies--all in the name of the council. Bensen's resignatin was called for--repeatedly--we;ll see what happens. I am hoping if he really cares for Dayton he'll resign and let someone more progressive take over. Enough negativism. Let's move forward.

  8. 12:14AM - We must have been at a different meeting earlier tonight as I respectfully disagree with your assessment of what happened at tonight's meeting.

  14. Maybe the Dayton Observer will write about the meeting and then we will all know what happened at the meeting last night. I would appreciate knowing.

  15. I am sure quite a few people already know what happened at the meeting last night so I don't think your comment "then we will all know what happened at the meeting last night" would be accurate.

  16. Well since you said a "quite a few" then that wouldn't really be everyone now whould it.

  17. I would like it if the D.O. would post what went on as well as anyone that attended last night. I unfortunately cannot attend most meetings. Some of us cannot get to the meetings and to be frank, talking to people that attended sometimes creates stories that are not quite accurate. And that includes whether the folks are pro or anti. Both sides can slant a story or misquote facts. So if someone can post what happened it would be appreciated by some of us.

  18. What would be the take, if maybe it was the city attorney that was wrong, albeit that some might have some red faces, the saga might continue.
